"I will use my super Time Lord power of looking out the window!" - The 8th Doctor in "Memory Lane"

This looks like it could be a good Thing to put a computer in.

Listening to the 8th Doctor Big Finish story “Terror Firma” and he just mentioned that Agatha Christie travelled with him for a while.

Opening up some space for thw video card to exhaust got it down to 80°c during FurMark at 60% fan speed. Better, but not good enough yet. This card ran at 70°/40% in the Falcon.

Fortunately, I have a plan to open up some additional air intake under the GPU.

Late Night Stats with the Nerd of Many Hats
Last week Mark Simon of ESPN Stats & Information was soliciting requests for heat maps/spray charts and he really liked mine about Adam Dunn. I had heard that around June 1st he made some adjustments to try to beat the heavy overshift he was always seeing, but I wanted some data to back it up.
Simon delivered. Dunn went from 10% of ground balls center or left to 38% and increased is batting average on ground balls from .071 to .298. This contributed significantly to his batting average increasing from .148 in April and .165 in May to .274 in June, .277 in July and .267 in August.
I took a flyer on Dunn pretty late in my fantasy draft as my third 1B, I’m hoping he can repeat some of that June-August success and post an average in the 250s to go with his undeniable power.

I recently finished The Tenth Planet, completing my watch-through of the First Doctor. I was quite disappointed to find that the first few Patrick Troughton stories are either incomplete or entirely lost.

The first two stories, The Power of The Daleks and The Highlanders are completely lost except for a few clips (ironically enough the scenes that were cut by Australian censors are all that survived). Part 3 is all that survives of The Underwater Menace. Half of The Moon Base survives, plus a reasonable fan animation of part one. The Macra Terror is gone. The Faceless Ones really are faceless with only two of six parts intact, which is better than the 1/7 for The Evil of The Daleks. That’s 6 of the first 35 parts.

The Tomb of The Cybermen is the first complete story in Troughton’s run, his 8th adventure.

The Abominable Snowmen - 1/6The Ice Warriors - 4/6
The Enemy of The World - 1/6
The Web of Fear - 5/6, and was 1/6 until a few years ago.
Fury from The Deep - 0/6
The Wheel in Space - 2/6
The Dominators - 5/5 is the next 100% intact episode.
The Mind Robber - 5/5
The Invasion - 6/8
The Krotons - 4/4
The Seeds of Death - 6/6 (Not to be confused with 4th Doctor’s Seeds of Doom, which really seemed like a 3rd Doctor story)
The Space Pirates - 1/6
The War Games - 10/10

That’s 6 out of 20 stories that survive in their entirety and 8 with one or zero parts remaining.

"Clearly I got the brains, he got the brain damage, and what did you get?"
“The manners.”
